Introduction
Data protection is a matter of trust, and we value your trust. We respect your privacy and personal sphere. Therefore, the protection and lawful collection, processing, and use of your personal data is important to us. We strictly comply with legal provisions when processing your personal data and want to inform you here about our data collection and use. By agreeing to the following privacy policy, you consent to GreenGold Import KLG, Villnachernstrasse 31, CH-5200 Brugg (hereinafter referred to as "GreenGold") collecting, processing, and using your personal data in compliance with the Swiss Data Protection Act (DSG) and the following provisions.
Secure Transmission
All internet traffic, as well as your personal data, is securely transmitted through encryption with us. This applies to your order, customer login, and navigating on our pages. We use the encryption system SSL (Secure Socket Layer). Look for the green lock in the upper left corner of your browser's address bar. We secure our website and other systems through technical and organizational measures against loss, destruction, access, modification, or distribution of your and our data by unauthorized persons.
Personal data
Personal data are particularly protected data that serve to identify a specific or identifiable natural or legal person, including information about factual or personal circumstances. This includes, for example, your name, telephone number, address, as well as all inventory data that you provide us with when registering and creating your customer account. Statistical data that we collect, for example, when visiting our online shop and which cannot be directly associated with your person, are not covered by this. For example, these are statistics about which pages of our shop are particularly popular or how many users visit certain pages of the shop.
Customer Account
We create a password-protected direct access to your inventory data (customer account) for each customer who registers with us accordingly. Here, you can view data on your completed, open, and recently shipped orders, as well as manage your address information, bank details, and newsletter. The customer is obliged to treat the personal access data confidentially and not to make them accessible to unauthorized third parties. We cannot accept liability for password misuse, unless we are responsible for the misuse. You are responsible for choosing a sufficiently strong password.
With the "Remember Me" function, we want to make your visit to our website as pleasant as possible. This function allows you to use our services without having to log in again each time. However, for security reasons, you will be asked to enter your password again if, for example, you want to change your personal data. We recommend that you do not use this function if the computer is used by multiple users or is located in a public place.
Collection and Use
For your order, we require your correct name and address data. We need your email address to confirm the receipt of your order and to communicate with you. We also use it for identification in your customer account. Additionally, you will receive order and shipping confirmations via your email address.
Your payment data is collected by the respective payment providers (PostFinance, PayPal, etc...) and is not visible to us nor stored by us. An exception to this is possible refunds to bank accounts where we rely on the information you provide. Your personal data will be deleted if there are no legal storage obligations that prevent this and if you have asserted a claim for deletion, if the data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored, or if its storage is otherwise unlawful for legal reasons.
Newsletter
For sending the newsletter, we use the so-called opt-in process, which means that we will only send you a newsletter by email if you have explicitly confirmed in advance that we should activate the newsletter service. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters from us, you can unsubscribe at any time in the [CUSTOMER AREA].
Credit Check
In order to offer you the best possible options for choosing the payment method, we need to protect you and ourselves against abuse. Therefore, we reserve the right to send the personal data (first and last name, address data) required for a credit check to a credit agency. Address data is also included in the calculation of the probability value.

Cookies and flash cookies are small files stored by your internet browser on your computer/mobile device which store certain settings and data to exchange with our system through the browser. In general, two different types of cookies are distinguished: so-called session cookies which are deleted as soon as you close your browser and temporary/permanent cookies which are stored on the hard drive for a longer period of time or indefinitely. This storage helps us to design our website and offers accordingly and facilitates your use, for example by storing certain inputs so that you do not have to repeat them constantly. Thanks to these files, it is possible to display information on the site that is specifically tailored to your interests. The sole purpose of these cookies is to best adapt our offer to your customer wishes and to make surfing with us as comfortable as possible. Accepting cookies is not a requirement for visiting our website. However, we would like to point out that the use of the shopping cart function and the ordering of products is only possible with the activation of cookies.
What data is stored in cookies?
No personal data is stored in the cookies used by GreenGold-Import.ch. Therefore, the cookies we use cannot be attributed to any particular person, including you. Upon activation, the cookie is assigned an identification number. It is never possible to assign your personal data to this identification number. Your name, IP address or similar data that would allow the cookie to be attributed to you are never used. Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files that are stored on your computer and allow Google to analyze the use of our website. The information collected by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address) is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States. We would like to point out that Google Analytics has been extended on this website with the code "gat._anonymizeIp();" to ensure anonymized collection of IP addresses (so-called IP masking). Therefore, on our instructions, Google will only collect your IP address in a shortened form, which ensures anonymization and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your identity. If the IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Furthermore, Google complies with the data protection regulations of the "US-Safe-Harbor" agreement and is registered with the "Safe Harbor" program of the US Department of Commerce. Google will use the information collected to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity for us, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Google may only transmit this information to third parties if required by law or as part of data processing on our behalf. Under no circumstances will Google combine your data with other data collected by Google.
By using this website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google and the manner in which such data is processed and used as described above. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software settings; however, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
